PM Modi Encourages Tourism in Lakshadweep, Shares Experiences

In a bid to promote tourism and echo the ‘vocal for local’ slogan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared glimpses of his recent visit to Lakshadweep, encouraging people to explore the picturesque islands. Through a series of posts, PM Modi showcased various activities, including taking a morning walk, relaxing on an armchair, and snorkeling, during his visit to the islands.

“For those who wish to embrace the adventurer in them, Lakshadweep has to be on your list. During my stay, I also tried snorkeling, what an exhilarating experience it was,” PM Modi posted on social media, along with multiple pictures. He highlighted the scenic beauty and tranquility of Lakshadweep, expressing how the visit provided him an opportunity to reflect on working harder for the welfare of the Indian population.

Describing early morning walks on the pristine beaches as moments of pure bliss, PM Modi’s posts aim to entice travelers to explore the beauty and adventure that Lakshadweep has to offer. Home Minister Amit Shah expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for promoting Lakshadweep, stating that the islands have immense potential to become a global tourist destination. He believes this promotion will boost tourism, enhance the economy, and elevate the living standards of the local population.

PM Modi visited Lakshadweep on January 2 and 3 to inaugurate the Kochi-Lakshadweep Islands Submarine Optical Fibre Connection and lay the foundation stone for healthcare facility renovation and model Anganwadi centers. Several projects were also dedicated to the nation during his visit.
